Product day at ThisNext

We had the board in the office today to hang out and hear about new fun things that we have in store for the next couple months. Less than a board meeting (not that I've ever sat in a board meeting before), it was a chance for the board to meet the team, for us to show some products in the pipeline.

Very entertaining and informative experience. It's totally invaluable to be able to get feedback from people who have a lot of knowledge and experience in your industry. There's also nothing like having someone tell you that a project that you've worked on is "a disaster". God I love working in a startup.

Oh, and this is for Adam.

How do you like them apples?

Just wanted to let you know I LOVED your comment about StartUPs and Firing people who are not Workaholics. I recently sold a company I founded in 1995 building online communities for alumni associations and had 30 people who over time, became less engaged. When I grow my next company, I WILL remember your comments when I hire someone!

Thanks! Sometimes people just don't realize that there's no room to hide in a small company and if you don't find the perfect person for the job, the whole team has to pick up the slack. I've seen it happen and I've also seen the magic when you get that rockstar.

Congrats on selling your company!
